My part-time Unical (Bruna Larosa)

are very many students, mainly off-site, which help families to meet college expenses approach to the study of work activities. The universities are aware of that as well as to predict the specific calls that are offered part-time contracts related to assigned functions within the university itself. University life, so, as well as presenting many opportunities for growth and socialization also offers the opportunity to compete in activities carried out in parallel to the study. The student activities are organized and designed to foster an constructive part-time now, the deal also manage the relationship with other students, primarily freshmen, helping the university itself to reducing those forms of shyness or relational difficulties that may arise at the beginning of the academic life.

With this in mind the work of part-time students were also asked for the 'zero skills courses' have taken place in recent years in favor of new members. In this context, in the role of tutor worked Paolo Pizzonia, a student from Vibo Valentia, who told us his experience of 'girl-part time'presso dell'Unical the Faculty of Pharmacy.

When he played his part-time period and what role he held?
I started my period of part-time in 2008 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, I attended the specialist and now I was out during the first year. My task, as well as for the other tutors was to support activities related to the normal conduct of courses of zero allowed in favor of freshmen.

What did you expect from this experience?
The fact I was surprised and conquered: I found a pleasant and purposeful. Before starting work I was very worried mainly for the experimental nature of the mentoring project in I was returned. In 2008, in fact, was the first year that the University of Calabria offered jobs part-time in that position.

How did you cope during this period and the uncertainties due to the newness of the role?
joked with colleagues call ourselves the guinea pigs, because they were experimenting on us to ask whether the idea of students as tutors were good or not. Despite the feeling of being part of an experiment, however, was a formative experience, vocational, which has enriched us a lot. Both me and the boys involved in the project we've grown from different points of view.

Often children prefer not to submit the application for fear of 'losing' the time to dedicate to study, what do you think?
In fact even I, like everyone, I have asked this same question: I can combine work and study? Then I realized that throughout my college experience I had never studied 24 hours on the 24th, and indeed in most of the time the actual study hours were very few. Knowing this I decided to launch itself into the part-time, not without some concern about the responsibility that I should have taken.

Speaking of responsibility, have burdened his way of living the university? Paradoxically
responsibilities of the job I have matured and I have not experienced as a burden, have proved even more of an incentive to study at that time!

What kind of relationship has been established with the other boys involved in your own business, you hear them yet?
I found myself in a team with other students, many of them younger than I was this age, however, did not prevent me to make some good friendships and to be in strong agreement with some of these people. The relationship with supervisors, tutors became so tight that themselves have organized an evening to meet and spend some 'time together. To date I have been on good terms with people with whom I had not tied so much that we lose opportunity to feel and remember the good experience. We ended up with some even after a long 'time that was over the part-time and we had had more feeling. Positive work experience can be to create a strong link between colleagues, a bond that otherwise would not exist.

you recommend this experience to others?
course: take some responsibility is always good. I do not exclude of course, to emphasize the human values that I myself found in this experience and I think is the most beautiful and profound, beyond the purely vocational. In fact if I had to submit to someone part-time work would start talking about their potential human relationships that brings the team and that, from my point of view, is without doubt one of the main strengths of the part-time university.
